Tewkesbury Battlefield Society Conference, in Association with the Battlefields Trust
Presenting, Preserving and Researching Battlefields - Yesterday, Today and Tomorrow
Saturday 4th May 2024
After being forced to delay from 2021 by a combination of the pandemic restrictions and a clash with the date of His Majesty’s Coronation, we are delighted to announce that the Tewkesbury Battlefield Society Conference, mounted in partnership with the Battlefields Trust, has been scheduled for Saturday 4th May 2024, falling on the 553rd anniversary of the Battle. The conference will take place in the Watson Hall in Barton Street in the heart of the town between 9.30 am and 4.30 pm on the Saturday, and will be followed by a guided battlefield tour on the Sunday for all those wishing to stay over. The theme of the Conference will be ‘Presenting, Preserving and Researching Battlefields – Yesterday, Today and Tomorrow’, with our speakers (subject to last minute change owing to circumstances beyond our control) including:

The Watson Hall bar will also be open over the lunch period. Tickets for the Saturday event are available at £15, and the Sunday walk, including transport to Tredington and tea and coffee midway, will cost a further £15.
